  I Yvonne Swinamer was diagnosed with Temporal Arteritis on January 4,2010. This is an auto-immune disease affecting the arteries mainly in the head. Sharp stabbing pain in the ear and the eye; right side only. Treatment is large doses of prednisonne (50mg) for the first 20 days; retesting after 15 days. Treatment can last up to 2 to 3 years. On day 15 I went for retesting. On January 22 I returned to my Doctor for the results. I was told I no longer had the disease and could start the weaning off of the prednisonne right away. This takes 30 days. This is  God answered prayer. To Him all the Praise ,Honor , and Glory. Amen .

Yet again the Lord our Healer answers!  Recently Yvonne spent some time in emergency the Dr was 95% sure she had "Bird Fanciers Lung Disease" and sent her home with the grim news that if this is the case she may only have 2-3yrs to live!  Well, that just won't do!  So as a church family we gather round, laid hands on her and prayed.  Yvonne could hardly walk, and breathe at that time.  She had her tests results came back no disease!  Prior to that, Sunday June 13 we prayed again and that Monday morning Yvonne felt better than she has felt in years like she was a 35yr old!  She was now able to do all she couldn't do previously! Glory to God!

On the cusp, on the edge,
The cliff face is just ahead,
Change is coming here soon,
Be it the morrow or this noon.

It’s just around the curve,

Silent Night?

 

How could it be a silent night?

More was going on than the star light.

Just ask those whose job was to keep,

The select temple sheep.

 

All seemed to be the usual norm,

‘cept a virgin was having a child born.

Just ask the town of Israel’s king,

Awake as the angels sing.

 

How could it be in a manger?

This godly birth, could it be stranger?

Just watched by both the ox and ass,

Yet not miracle surpass.

 

All answers come within that one birth,

To show all man his value and worth.

Just ask the God about His plan,

Known as the Son of Man.

Happy  65^th Bernadette!

 

Debra's Experience:

 

   We were watching a DVD by Randy Clark “Pressing In” on the laying on of hands and impartation of God's gifts of the Spirit.

After the DVD had finished Pastor Jocelyn had us stand in a circle while she prayed over us.

While she was praying... my hands and fingers began to pain really bad.   I told her and she stopped and asked if anyone had arthritis in their hands or pain in their hands.

Bernadette said that she did and her hands were really paining. In fact all her joints were paining.

I laid my hands on her and started praying and she said the swelling in her fingers began to go down and the pain went away.  All the pain left my hands!  That was a ‘word of knowledge’ in form of sympathy pain.  She asked that I pray for the rest of her.

I prayed for her back and then felt led to lay hands on her knees.   She buckled and went down and as the others were praying around her they helped to lower her down gently.  We continued to pray over her especially for her back and she said she felt a deep heat penetrating her body and her knees. 

She said the swelling was going down in her knees and her back felt better and when she finally got up she said she felt so good all over!  What a wonderful Birthday gift from the Lord!!  Happy Birthday Bernadette!!

I've been invited to read a couple of my poems this Sunday at the church we currently abide. I will share one that wrote during SWAT, but lately been wanting to write a new poem, so used this time as a kind of inspirational spur. The following poem titled Challenge is the result.

Heart on our sleeve and love on our lips,
Let His light shine from our eyes.
In His house and out in the streets,
Let His life shine in our lives.

We have the truth and we know His hope,
It’s here and it is for right now.
We know the ease, it’s not a stretch,
So why not show the world how?

The heart of a babe and faith of a child,
Do we truly fear what is meek and mild?

Where only the fools would dare to tread,
Life from a cross and garden tomb.
Really what is there for us to lose,
We can gain it all from our own doom.

Are we not the children of our God?
So why hold so tight things of man?
Our appearance before the eyes of the world,
It’s vain clutching at grains of sand.

A heart of a babe and faith of a child,
I say it’s a challenge to be wild.

> Subject: Thoughts and Prayers > > I just wanted to ask you all for your thoughts and prayers for Warren; he is in the hospital with more heart problems and VERY high blood pressure. He has been having a lot of chest pains and has been seeing his Dr and was scheduled for a stress test on Wednesday. His blood pressure went extremely high yesterday and he was experiencing chest pain so off he went to the ER. They admitted him and will do more tests today. Answer: Warren's Dr. found that a blood vessel is wrapping itself around the outside of his heart and when it reaches all around to the other side it will attach itself and begin pumping the blood that his diseased heart is not able to do. 
 
Sara and Mike

Sara's doctor sent her for tests because he/she felt the baby may be born with Down’s Syndrome and one other Syndrome.
 
Answer:  After test results were returned - Sara was found to be carrying a healthy baby boy with no concerns.
 
Heidi and Adam
Request:  Heidi asked for prayer for a job for Adam.  He had been hired at Michelin but it was discovered the day he started that  he was not permanent making him ineligible for the job because he was only a contract worker.

Hi Bernadette,

Thank you so much for your prayers for our job security/finances. Hubby now has new employment, where after 3 months we will have access to good benefits and pension too! He is enjoying the work so far and is excited that we now will also get to see each other. He works mainly Mon-Fri and day shifts, sometimes 12 hours per day, but he does get weekends off. God answers prayer in mysterious ways. Where we see no "out" He comes through with an even better solution then we could have thought of. This job basically just "happened" - everything circumstance seemed to just fall into place. That's when I know it's a GOD thing :)

Thank you so much for your prayers in this matter - and continue to pray that God gives us favour in our jobs, just as Esther had favour with the king.

- more money so that he can go back for further treatment
- Donnie's smooth transition coming home end of June and that he can plug into programs that help him

We want to share with you that Donnie will be staying at the Ranch until end of July when his 6-months are up. The Ranch has come through with substantial financial assistance package for the month! Thank you God!

The Ranch has an After Care Group home called Royce St. They want Donnie to enrol in this program for another 6 months! The Ranch has come through again with financial assistance up to covering 50% of each monthly cost. With some fundraising, this time for him is doable!

Thank you Lord that Donnie has worked so hard and has done so well that the Ranch is helping us financially. Also thanks for a good size check we received yesterday from a friend of ours!

Thanks for your prayers as they are being answered! I did not think it possible for our son to get help in the U.S. and for us to not be severely in debt!

Prayer request for my niece Jill

This is an urgent request for prayer.  This one is pretty close to my heart - yesterday, my niece Jill was told by her doctor that he suspects that she has third stage skin cancer and feels the cancer many have spred as she has quite a size lump behind the skin cancer.  Jill is just a young women with a 5 year old son. 
 
Her doctor has booked her into the hospital a week from Friday to do a biopsy which he is planning on doing himself - so Jill doesn't feel as confident as she would if he would send her to a specialist for testing.
 
Agree with me for a total turn around in the doctor's diagnosis.  Pray the biopsy shows clear, cancer free cells.  Pray that what the enemy purposes for Jill's harm is turned around for God's Glory!  By authority in Jesus Name we command all cancer cells to die at their roots and only healthy cells to remain and multiply!
 
Jilly is my girl - I "nannied" her from the time she was very small.  She knows the Lord as her Saviour  - pray that she will draw into His provision of peace right now and walk in confidence knowing His will is her health!

Answer:

We have a wonderful God.  As we believed for my Jilly - Jesus healed her completely.  Her cyst and skin cancer was removed this morning.
 
The doctor told her he got the entire cyst which he believed was fully cancerous because it was black.  He removed every bit of it without concern!
 
In two weeks he will have the biopsy results but feels she is in the clear!
 
Amen and praise God.  Thank You Lord for Your awesome Goodness to Your children.
 
Thanks you friends for praying so faithfully and lovingly!

March, 2009  Update on Healing Story Laura T:

I am off of 11 meds out of 14. Can do alot more then I could when I first came to LCC. Praise God. Am not in continuous pain anymore. Can walk longer periods of time and can stand longer then before. Can go up and down stairs without alot of pain. All pain meds gone, no sleeping meds now. Praise the Lord. No Anti depressents now. Feeling more energetic and able to get up earlier and do more during the day and sleeping so much better.

"I was on Metformon for diabetes and had complications. I was told to try it without meds as I didn't want any more pills. This past year I have had blood work every three months as they wanted to put me on insulin once a day at night. I dislike needles more than pills. I have prayed for healing from this, from God. Pastor Jocelyn has prayed with me for healing and other members of my Christian family as well.
Last month I went back for another blood test and when I went to the clinic for my results I was told everything was fine and would I like to come back in a year to be checked again as I no longer had any need for medications. Thank you God, your daughter Yvonne.

 I will  give God the glory . With God ALL things are possible .I just had to have the faith to keep on believing when healing seemed impossible. God answered my need in His time; all I had to do was keep my faith in Him. God takes care of His children,we must never give in to doubt, keep believing and live in Him as he lives in us; then when we least expect it our miracle arrives.

Laura T  Received prayer and healing right before our eyes!  Glory to God!  The Great Physcian is in the house! Laura requested prayer for her shoulder and arm experiencing pain, and limited mobility in just a few minutes she was almost fully recoverd restored mobility and pain almost completely gone!

Single Mom’s Prayer

LORD, as I sit on her bed,

And watch my little one sleep,

After bedtime stories of little Bo peep,

And prayers of course for the little lost sheep.

 

I think how much like sleeping beauty a little girl really is,

For someday she’ll awaken to a prince charming’s kiss.

But for right now Lord,

It’s just her and me,

So help me be the mom that she needs me to be.

 

Yet I know with your grace and help I will be,

After all you’ve entrusted this child to me.

I know you’ll be with us as we go through each trial,

For your Word say’s you care for each fatherless child.

During the service again a 'sympathy pain' in lower back, saw growth in minds eye- ( could be bulging disc, or cancer) and causes nausea.  3 people responded and the healing virtue of Jesus Christ flowed through their bodies and 2 definitely felt relief and much better all symptoms gone Glory to God!  Let your kingdom come let your will be done!  Amen!

While preaching Pastor Jocelyn spoke out a word of knowledge regarding a kinked neck and Mary Anne received healing right there while we prayed for her Glory to God in the highest!  Joy to the world!  We learned later that another gentleman also received healing for the same problem - wow 2 for one!  Yeh God!

Dale K had a "Word of Knowledge" for Ralph W. regarding thyroid and prayed for him.  Ralph is happy to report he has been healed and off his meds!  Praise God!

Sept 2, 2008

I just wanted to send you a praise report. I read your book To Hell with Sickness  by Bill Prankhard and also the one from Azusa Street. Since then I have been healed in my back and legs. I am now of off 7 medications out of 10. I can take tylenol extra strength for pain instead of narcotics. Praise the Lord. Thanks for praying for me. I have more energy now and feeling so much better.

 Family Fun Day, July 27, 2008

Laura T requested prayer for her knee for pain etc so Pastor Jocelyn and Bernadette to impart healing virtue of Jesus into that knee, pain go in Jesus name, we spoke alignment, and healing.  Then asked Laura how was the pain - gone, no pain!  Glory to God!  Then we asked her to do what she couldn't do before and she was able to move the knee and put weight on it without pain first time in a week!

Also for the first time Laura was able to play like a child and run and dance and play with joy!  Truly her youth is being renewed like promised in the Bible!  Continuing the emotional healing process.

  Healing Testimony ~ Anne Driscoll 2007-2008

Anne had been suffering with diabetes for over 20 years and one of the symptoms included no feeling in the toes, working it's way up into the feet and legs, one of Anne's first healings at Lighthouse was from that, now she has feelings. Prior to this she could not feel anything, could not jump, run, had limited mobility, now she does!  Glory to God!

Then last fall during the Healing and Prophetic Conference with Bryce & Catherine Hughes, the Lord had a 'Word of Knowledge' through Pastor Jocelyn that someone had a heavyness in the chest, could hardly breathe and pain in the heart!  Anne responded and so did Jesus!  The pain left, Anne had had a quad- by pass a long time ago and was feeling it was nearing the end of effectiveness - she was on nitro!  Her lungs felt so heavy, she was very easily winded and again had limited mobility - no steps!  Since that time she has been off nitro, no heart medications, and no lung medications, heart and lungs are just fine!  Now it's hard to keep up with her!  Recently she went to pay her insurance and the office had moved upstairs so the agent came to 'help her' up the stairs knowing she could not make it without help when Anne declared "I don't need any help!  Jesus healed me completely!"  She and the agent had a little chat about this Jesus who heals, and she ended up leading this lady to the Lord the healer- now her healer and saviour!

Not only has God been healing Anne's body, also she has experienced tremendous deliverance and healing emotionally ~ she certainly is not the same Anne that first walked through those doors at LCC Jan 28th 2007!  What can you say but Glory be to God!

Healing Testimony by Yvonne Swinamer  Aug 5, 2007  Communion Sunday!

I had been suffering with extreme pain in my left foot for months.  X-rays revealed a possible healed stress fracture but no reason for the discomfort I had been living with.  Not only was walking painful, but all movement hurt!  The pain was with me 24/7!

During Pastor Steve's lead in for communion, he spoke of our asking for what we wanted.  The scriptures he was reading and his commentary seemed to be directed to me.  I followed his guiding and asked God to take the pain completely from my foot, not only for walking but all movement of the foot. The pain left within minutes! I kept flexing my foot to see if it really was healed before saying anything.  It was healed and despite two accidents since the inital healing that pain has not returned!

God does answer his childrens heartfelt prayers.  Maybe not as fast in some instances but there is an answer if we only exercise the commands he gave us.  If we believe God knows.  He does grant us the desires of our hearts. Praise His Wonderful Name!  I thank Him daily for the wonderful things he has put in my life, and ask that he direct my feet to the path he wants me to take.

    Healing Testimony by Bernadette Carey  Aug 12, 2007

On the morning of August 12/07 I went to church with a feeling of expectancy knowing that I would be in the presence of God with my "faith family". There had been so much happening over the month prior to this day - God was working out many things for us and I was still enthralled at how He had worked out the problem we had with our "new to us" van. We had had it for only three months and the transmission went on it. Naturally it could have meant a replacement with a used transmission that we could ill afford but I had asked many to pray about this for us so in the spiritual realm - there was a brand new transmission put into the van and the only charge to us was for the fluids. Praise God! The answer to this prayer was causing me to be in a constant state of praise and thankfulness.
Also during this same time frame I had been having a lot of pain in my lower back- hip area. It was difficult to get around and sit comfortably anywhere. As I thought about this - I was reluctant to ask God to take this pain because I was well aware that it probably was largely due to my weight which has been a huge stronghold in my life for many years. So because of this I was not looking forward to being in church sitting in chairs that I don’t find very comfortable at the best of times - BUT on this particular Sunday morning during the opening after we had done worship Pastor Jocelyn said before we start, I am going to ask anyone needing prayer to come up right now. Wow, there was a crowd - many in our church went up for prayer as I did. As I stood there agreeing in prayer for others the pain in my hip made me very uncomfortable and I was at the far end of the group so it would be awhile before it would be my turn. Finally Pastors Steve and Jocelyn were standing in front of me and as I mentioned what I was asking prayer for immediately Pastor Jocelyn began to pray. As often happens, I do not recall exactly what she said but when I finally returned to my seat I thought - surely the sermon would be shorter than usual because of this time of prayer..........It wasn’t - the message was given and suddenly it occurred to me that I was more comfortable than I ever had been sitting in that chair. I had no pain - I could have stayed there all day........! This was another - BUT GOD situation. A healing had taken place in my body. Praise Him for His awesome love and care for his children!
Now although I know with God there are no strings attached - I desire to honor Him by becoming healthier. This is still a situation that needs prayer because as hard as I try to be more active and eat less - I am having a struggle following through.
I take Psalm 138:8 to be my confirmation that with His help I will have victory over this stronghold also!!!

 Freedom Testimony : by Laura T   May 2007

God is good. All the time. I would like to give a brief testimony about the
goodness of God. I have been struggling with things all my life of not
feeling wanted. I suffer with rejection, abandonment issues, low self
esteem, of feeling not being good enough. Since coming to Lighthouse
Community Church, things have changed. God is removing my issues with these
things. I don't experience fear, or panic like I did. I feel welcomed here
and that this is home. God has me writing poems again which I have not done
since 2000. 7 years of not writing I now have written, 5 poems. I could not
relate to my mother. But God has changed all of that. I can speak to her
without feeling angry. I don't panic when I can't find her in a store.
My moods are not up and down like a roller coaster. It was hard to live with me like that.

I don't know how she did it. LOL.

God also delivered me from smoking on April 30th of 2006. Praise the Lord I
am free.
I am also able to tell my mother that I love her with all my heart and
actually feel it now. I always loved her but couldn't show it to her. Now My
feelings Line up with my words. Praise the Lord. Amen
 I thank God for this means a great deal to me and to my family I am sure. They will see
the difference that God has made in My Life. Amen.
To God be all the glory, honor and praises. Amen and Amen

This Vision from Sandy during Ministry Time @ the Renewal Meeting with The Vineyard:  June 1, 2007

I was kneeling on the floor with the worship music playing, when suddenly I became super-aware of the drums and base, I could hear them really loudly over all the rest of the music.  I was listening to it when I realized that I was hearing God's heartbeat and that I was inside God's heart; this little person standing inside His heart -- completely surrounded by His heart!

And He said to me "My blood flows through you, Sandy.  My mercy flows through you, my compassion flows through you.  I flow through you!"  I was standing there with my legs and arms stretched out - like the Leonardo Divinchi picture -- and my veins and arteries were connected with God's, and I could see His blood flowing through me.  I felt heat and I heard and felt God's heart beating so loudly as I heard and sort-of felt the drums and the base.  And I felt so loved. 

Visiting ministry team members came along and knelt and laid hands on me was when I moved from the experience of being in God's heart to hearing His a personal word for me. 

After the Holy Spirit finished His work, I told one of these people what God had done in me.  Her face lit up and she laughed.  She said that during worship, she had been praying that people would just run into God's heart - those were the words she spoke to God.   And I litterally ran into God's heart!

How absolutely wonderful and wild is that huh!  What a God we serve!  "I am wonderfully and fearfully made!"
